Job description

Do you want a full-time permanent job where you can make a difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities? No 2 days are the same and getting paid to go to the Cinema and the Zoo are certainly perks of the job!!

I am recruiting several CARING and PASSIONATE Support Workers to join a Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and complex needs. The service, which is located in Denbigh, Denbighshire, supports adults aged between 18 - 65.

The service is looking for candidates with a caring nature and the ability to have fun and engage with the people they support.

**Unfortunately we are unable to offer sponsorship for these positions**

  • Salary: £27,736 - £28,899 (including sleeps) Plenty of overtime available!
  • Hours: Full Time - 40 hours per week 1 sleep per week
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Shifts: A variety of shifts including optional sleeps including weekends
  • Location: Denbigh, Denbighshire

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to make their own choices.
  • Ensuring the safety of the service users.
  • Following care plans for each individual.
  • Taking service users out into the community.
  • Participating in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening and day trips.
  • Varying levels of personal care.

Requirements of the Support Worker Role:

  • No experience is required.
  • Must be resilient.
  • Drivers ESSENTIAL due to location
  • Candidates must be happy to do personal care.
  • Due to the personal care nature of the service user, Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010
