Job summary

Dimensions Group is recruiting a dedicated care worker to support two ladies in their 60s and 70s in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will assist with daily living, personal care, medication administration and companionship to help maintain independence and dignity.

Shifts include day patterns, with a focus on active, social engagement such as outings and community activities. We welcome applicants with a flexible approach, commitment to PBS plans and a valid UK driving licence where required.

• Provide personal care and administer medication.
• Support with grocery shopping and attending medical appointments.
• Encourage independence with daily living skills.
• Provide calm, consistent and respectful support following PBS plans.

Job description

You’ll be supporting two ladies in their 60s and 70s who may display complex behaviours. With the right support, they enjoy full and active lives. Their hobbies include:

• Lunches out
• Shopping trips
• Visiting theatres
• Going to discos
• Meeting up with friends and family

They love getting out and about, so if you enjoy being active and social, this could be the perfect role for you.

What will I be doing?

You’ll play a key role in enabling independence, dignity and choice. Your support will include: Supporting them to live their lives how they choose and achieve their goals Providing personal care and administering medication Supporting with grocery shopping and attending medical appointments Encouraging independence with daily living skills Providing calm, consistent and respectful support, including following Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans Every day is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships and make a positive impact.

Shifts

We have day shifts available, with patterns including: 8am - 9pm 9am - 10pm Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work-life balance - something we're really passionate about
