Job summary

Dimensions is hiring a Support Worker in Wokingham to assist three gentlemen in their 50s and 60s with learning disabilities. You will support daily living, outings and meaningful activities in a warm, active home. A full UK manual driving licence is essential to reach community activities and appointments.

The role offers full-time hours up to 37.5 per week with additional £50 sleep-in shifts, competitive pay, and opportunities for career progression within a supportive team.

About the role

Join a welcoming, energetic home where you’ll support three gentlemen in their 50s and 60s with learning disabilities. This is an active, social environment where you’ll help people live full, independent lives and enjoy a variety of outings and meaningful daily experiences.

The gentlemen enjoy:

• Day trips to the seaside and countryside
• Kayaking, bowling and gymnastics
• Cooking, shopping and budgeting
• Gardening and growing vegetables
• Music, movies and their Friday night disco

You’ll provide:

• Personal care and assistance with daily routines
• Medication administration
• Meal preparation and cooking
• Support for one gentleman who uses a wheelchair and requires a hoist
• Help with attending appointments and staying active

Shift patterns

• 7:00am – 2:30pm
• 2:30pm – 10:00pm
• Long days between 7:00am – 10:00pm
• Sleep-ins: 10:00pm – 7:00am (£50 per sleep-in)

Rotas are provided in advance to help with work-life balance.
