About the Role

With the right people around him we believe that he can achieve this and live the best life.
Alex is at his happiest when he is riding the escalators and lifts in shopping centres. He loves the outdoors and feeling the breeze through his hair. When he wants to unwind, he likes nothing more than watching his favourite episodes of Teletubbies and Thomas the Tank Engine on YouTube.
Those that are sensitive to Alex’s moods will be able to reassure him when he anxious and recognise when he needs his own company. PBS4 provides support to enable people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour to have independent lives and to live in their own home. Our approach is underpinned by Positive Behaviour Support. Positive Behaviour Support is an approach mostly used to support people with learning disabilities whose behaviours challenge others. The goal is to shift the focus away from reducing challenging behaviour to understanding what that behaviour means and supporting people to get what they need better.
