Job summary

The Avenues Trust Group in Sevenoaks is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities and other care needs. The role is full-time (39 hours per week) with a salary of £25,845 per annum (pro rata) and requires a full UK driving licence to operate service vehicles.

You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily tasks, accompany appointments, and help people participate in community life.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• No experience required; training provided to succeed.
• Award-winning, fully funded training including recognised Health and Social Care qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support people to live as independently as possible while promoting choice, dignity and respect
• Encourage participation in hobbies, activities and community life
• Help people build and maintain relationships with family, friends and their local community
• Assist with cooking, shopping, budgeting and maintaining a clean, comfortable home
• Provide respectful, person-centred personal care tailored to individual needs
• Support people with health appointments, daily routines and emotional wellbeing
• Drive the service vehicles to enable people to access appointments and activities
• Celebrate achievements and help create meaningful moments every day
