Job summary

Avenues Group is seeking Female Support Workers in Tunbridge Wells to support adults with learning disabilities, autism, and additional needs in a supported living service. The role involves promoting independence and helping service users enjoy community activities, with shifts across 7:30am–10:00pm and a pro rata salary of £25,845 per annum.

You must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to drive service vehicles.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive service vehicles.
• Compassionate, reliable and eager to learn in social care.
• Ability to support people to develop independence and participate in community life.

Responsibilities

• Support people to live as independently as possible while promoting choice, dignity and respect
• Encourage participation in hobbies, activities and community life
• Assist with cooking, shopping, budgeting and maintaining a home
• Support people to build and maintain relationships with family and friends
• Provide respectful, person-centred personal care where required
• Drive the service vehicles to support people to attend appointments and access their community
• Promote positive outcomes by following individual support plans and celebrating achievements every day
