Job summary

Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative in Swansea is seeking a Female Support Worker to help empower adults with learning disabilities to live independently and participate in everyday activities. You will support personal choices, assist with daily tasks, and promote wellbeing in a person-centred setting.

The role offers part-time or full-time hours, with weekends and sleep-ins expected. Salary £13.59 per hour, sleep-ins £60 per night, and travel expenses paid at 55p per mile.

Qualifications

• No formal experience required; full training is provided.
• Patience and empathy essential.
• Ability to support intimate personal care with dignity.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to communicate with a range of professionals.
• Good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning.
• Have a full driving licence - essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities.
• Have access to your own car and willing to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle (55p per mile paid).
