Job summary

Sense Scotland is seeking a friendly Support Worker to help Jamie enjoy his Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons. You will join a small team in East Kilbride, helping him access local activities and remain independent in the community.

Role involves weekend shifts, supporting personal care and occasional medication administration, and driving if needed. A caring, patient, and adaptable attitude is essential to fit Jamie’s needs and preferences.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is desirable but not essential.
• Driving licence is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Jamie to enjoy his favourite activities and stay safe.
• Help him get out and about in the local community.
• Support with personal care tasks and any required medication administration.
• Assist with activities at home as Jamie chooses.
• Encourage independence and confidence during leisure time.

SUPPORT WORKER REQUIRED – EAST KILBRIDE

Jamie is a friendly young man with additional support needs who is looking for a kind, reliable and enthusiastic person to support him to enjoy his Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons.

Friday evenings - 5pm - 8pm

Support Jamie to attend a local sports club and enjoy getting involved in his community.

Saturday afternoons - 12pm - 4pm

Support Jamie to go ice skating and enjoy an activity he loves.

There may be times where Jamie would like to be supported within his own home.

About the role

The successful person will support Jamie to:

• Enjoy his favourite activities
• Get out and about in his local community
• Develop and maintain his independence
• Have fun and build confidence
• Stay safe while enjoying his leisure time
• Enjoy time within his family home carrying out activities of his choice
• Support with personal care tasks and administration of medication if require
