Job description

Vacancy Information

The salary advertised is for a full-time position (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.

Hourly rate of pay: £12.96 - £13.78
This is a 39-week sessional post, working during school term time plus in-service days.

Days and hours of work:
Monday - Thursday, 11:00-14:00
Start date: 11th August 2025.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Education: Good general education standard.

Must hold an SVQ in Social Services (Children & Young People) at SCQF Level 6 or an equivalent SSSC-recognised qualification. If not obtained, you must commit to achieving the SVQ within the required timeframe.

First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain it.

Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or willingness to obtain it.

SSSC registration or agreement to register within 6 months of appointment is essential.

PVG Membership
This role is considered a Regulated Role involving vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as per the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.

All suitable candidates will be required to join or update their PVG Scheme membership before a formal offer is made.

Note: PVG records are regularly updated. Any relevant disclosures will be discussed and investigated before employment is confirmed.
