Job summary

Autism Initiatives in the Liverpool City Region is seeking a part‑time Support Worker to help clients live independently at home and participate in community activities. You will promote wellbeing, support daily living, and help individuals pursue meaningful hobbies and outings with a flexible, person‑centred approach.

Full training is provided; DBS is offered, and there are progression opportunities, pension and wellbeing benefits as part of a values‑driven team.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and team‑oriented; able to engage with autistic individuals.
• Willingness to undertake training and development.
• DBS check provided or completed prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Support autistic individuals to be as independent as possible at home.
• Promote health, wellbeing and an active lifestyle through activities and community engagement.
• Assist with daily living and personal support in line with individual goals.

£26485.76 per annum based on a 39-hour working week

Who we are looking for:

As a Support Worker, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and will enjoy joining a dynamic team that encourages people with autism to enjoy an active lifestyle. Community activities could include swimming, accessing walking groups or trips to the cinema. You will also promote health and well-being and support individuals to maintain their home. The support we deliver is flexible and unique to each individual, building on their strengths and driven by their goals.

We are looking for people who share and demonstrate our values. You may have a background or understanding of supporting autistic people, but if not don’t worry, we have great training and a friendly team to support you every step of the way.
