Mencap in Doncaster is seeking compassionate Support Workers to join our community team. You will help people with learning disabilities live independently, in their own homes and in the community, performing tasks from budgeting and paying bills to cooking healthy meals and arranging appointments.
You’ll support social inclusion, personal care, and daily routines, while DBS requirements are met. The role offers varied contracts and shifts, valuing colleagues and the people we support.

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs within their own homes and out in the community, you’ll play a vital role in their life.
Typical responsibilities may include: Supporting people to live independently, budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments, and cooking healthy meals.
Community and social inclusion – Supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills
Personal care – Helping people to get ready for the day. This may include prompting the people we support to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering, and using the bathroom. Not all Support Worker roles include high levels of personal care
An enhanced DBS will be required for the successful candidate
