Support Worker - Disability & Mental Health (West Cumbria Day Services)
Hourly Rate: £13.05 per hour
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and/or working conditions of the role.

Hours: 35 hours per week

We have opportunities for caring, compassionate, and enthusiastic people to join our Care Services Cumberland Day Service teams in Whitehaven as Support Workers providing support and care within our Disability and Mental Health Services.
About Day Services (DMH)
Care Services Cumberland offers a diverse range of Day Services for adults with physical and/or learning disabilities. The support provided is highly personalized to meet individual needs and promote independence. Our Allerdale and Copeland services operate from various sites across the district, offering engaging day opportunities, tailored care programs, and activities including drama, horticulture, and woodcraft.
About the role
As a Day Service Support Worker, you will get to know people individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. You will assist with medication, personal care, and encourage individuals to achieve their full potential. We are looking for support workers who are flexible, enthusiastic, willing to undertake specialized activities and training, and eager to share their skills, interests, and ideas.
No experience or qualifications are necessary to start. We will provide fully paid training and development. If you have experience, you can take the next step in your career with us.
DBS
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check.
Please note, this role involves working in regulated activity with adults. It is an offense for barred individuals to apply for roles requiring unsupervised work with adults.
