We are looking for a reliable and patient carer to support a 55-year-old woman living in South Norwood. The role is for approximately 16.5 hours per week, spread across daily visits and some longer weekly support. Morning support is needed 7 days a week for 45 minutes, to help with breakfast, personal care and prompting with medication. A 30-minute lunchtime visit is needed every day, to provide support with lunch and prompting with medication. There is also a 30-minute evening visit every day to help with the evening meal and medication prompts. In addition to these daily visits, one hour a week is needed for household tasks such as cleaning, mopping, tidying and laundry. There is also one hour a week for shopping and two hours once a week for batch cooking and preparing meals. The exact start times for the morning, lunchtime and evening visits can be agreed, but it is important that the carer can provide consistent support at these times throughout the week. We are looking for someone who is caring, patient, respectful and dependable, with a friendly and calm approach. You should be comfortable providing personal care and understand the importance of dignity, privacy and helping someone maintain their independence.
