Job description

We will also work closely with people placed on rehabilitation-focused placements supported by neuro therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech & language therapists, and neuropsychologists to aid in their recovery. Our multidisciplinary team will undertake a thorough assessment prior to any admission, working closely with the individual, their family, carers, and other healthcare professionals to identify their goals and aspirations and create an individually tailored support plan.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service, including:

  • Supporting the daily routines of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence while helping them live fulfilling lives.
  • Supporting and encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and assisting with healthcare needs, including accompanying individuals to appointments or administering medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, and shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Helping with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
  • Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.

Experience within the care sector is not required, as we offer full training, coaching, and development opportunities.

Church Road is a brand-new service that recently opened in Ferndown. We support up to 8 adults with acquired brain injuries or neurological conditions.
