Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker
Location: Belfast and Lisburn
Salary: £13.57-£15.33
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Shift work
Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins (additional allowance provided)

About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people? We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join our team in providing high-quality care in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children with emotional, behavioural, and social difficulties, helping them to develop life skills, confidence, and positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trusting, supportive relationships with young people.

  • Support daily routines including meals, education, and activities.

  • Promote emotional well-being and respond to challenging behaviour constructively.

  • Ensure the safety and welfare of each child, in line with care plans and safeguarding procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records and reports.

  • Work closely with colleagues, families, social workers, and other professionals.

About You:

  • 6 months Experience working with children or young people

  • A genuine passion for helping vulnerable children and young people.

  • Registered with NISCC

  • Willingness to complete Enhanced Access NI

  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.

  • Strong communication and teamworking skills.
