Job description

Job Title: Children's Support Worker
Location: Preston
Salary: £26k starting - 24hr rolling shift pattern of one day on 3 days off.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join their team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to children and young people within their service, working closely with them to overcome challenges and achieve personal goals. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who need it most.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to young people in the home.
  2. Promote positive behaviors and relationships, encouraging confidence, independence, and personal development.
  3. Assist with daily activities, education, and recreational tasks, tailoring support to each child's unique needs.
  4. Help to implement care plans and ensure the safety and well-being of each person.
  5. Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For:

  1. A caring, compassionate, and resilient individual who is passionate about working with young people.
  2. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  3. Ability to build trusting relationships with children, young people, and colleagues.
  4. Previous experience working in a childcare or social care setting (preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided).
  5. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
  6. A valid UK driving license (preferred but not essential).
