Job summary

Scottish Borders Council is seeking a Support Worker for St Ronans Care Home, Innerleithen. This permanent role involves providing person-centred practical and emotional support according to individual care plans, promoting wellbeing and inclusive care.

You will assist with personal care, meals, mobility as needed, and contribute to a safe, dignified care environment. PVG checks are arranged for you and SSSC registration is required.

Qualifications

• SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
• PVG Adults – we will do this for you!
• SSSC registered.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred practical and emotional support to empower the people we care for, as outlined in individual support plans.
• Promote the health and well-being of the people we support and ensure their needs are met in an inclusive way.
• Support, enable and involve service users in all aspects of their lives, including personal care, eating, drinking, and mobility if necessary.
• Be responsible for the safe administration of Service Users’ medication, following relevant training.
