Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide practical and emotional support to individuals according to their support plans.
  • Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility as needed.
  • Support daily living activities such as meals, shopping, cleaning and household tasks.
  • Monitor and report changes in an individual's wellbeing to the appropriate person.
  • Follow individual care and support plans at all times.

Qualifications and Experience


  • Experience working in a care, support, healthcare, or similar environment is desirable.

  • Basic knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety procedures.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.

  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development.


Desirable


  • Previous experience supporting adults, elderly people, people with disabilities, or individuals with additional support needs.

  • Relevant Health and Social Care qualification.

  • Training in moving and handling.

  • Medication administration training.

  • First aid or basic life support training.

  • A valid driving licence, where the role requires travelling between locations or supporting individuals in the community.


About The Role

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide practical and emotional support to individuals according to their individual support plans

  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility where required

  • Support individuals with daily living activities, including meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, and household tasks.

  • Monitor and report any changes in an individual's physical, emotional, or mental wellbeing to the appropriate person.
