A leading organization is seeking a part-time Support Worker / Buddy in Cumnock to assist a young man with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Duties include providing social support, ensuring safety, and helping with communication. Candidates are expected to be calm, patient, and have experience with autism, along with a full driving license for work-related travel.

Applicants must be flexible, as hours and shifts will vary weekly. Availability for overnights during weekdays and weekends is required. The regular weekly hours are approximately 4 hours.
Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour
Support Worker / Buddy (Part-Time) needed to assist a young man with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
You will provide social support and companionship within the local community, ensuring his safety at all times. The young man has limited communication skills, so patience is essential to help him express his needs and feelings. Continuity and consistency are very important to him.
He enjoys walking on nice days and using his pool in the garden.
This position is subject to a 6-month probationary period. Successful applicants must provide two references (one from current or most recent employer) and undergo a PVG Disclosure at the employer’s cost.
