Job summary

Autism Initiatives, Blackpool, is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help adults live as independently as possible. You will assist with daily tasks, support community activities such as swimming and cinema trips, and promote health and well-being while helping individuals maintain their home.

The role is a 39-hour week with a salary of £27,381.51 per annum, plus training and DBS support to ensure a safe, empowering environment for people with autism to lead active lives.

Who we are looking for:

As a Support Worker, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and will enjoy joining a dynamic team that encourages people with autism to enjoy an active lifestyle. Community activities could include swimming, accessing walking groups or trips to the cinema. You will also promote health and well-being and support individuals to maintain their home. The support we deliver is flexible and unique to each individual, building on their strengths and driven by their goals.

We are looking for people who share and demonstrate our values. You may have a background or understanding of supporting autistic people, but if not don’t worry, we have great training and a friendly team to support you every step of the way.
