Job description

We’re recruiting!

Join us as a Learning Disability Support Worker and help create a future where learning-disabled people live the best life possible.

We understand that life can be complicated for everyone. However, some individuals face additional barriers that prevent them from pursuing their dreams. Many learning-disabled people are not heard regarding the support they need, and some are unable to decide what they do for work, how to spend or save their money, or try out new hobbies they would love to explore.

You can make a difference.

Join our growing team in Bidford On Avon and receive all the training necessary to become a confident Support Worker.

If our values - Kind, Diverse, Positive, and Visionary - resonate with your personal values, then we already share a common ground. Come onboard and support learning-disabled adults to develop skills, achieve their life goals, and thrive within your community.

What we offer you:

  • Location: Bidford On Avon
  • Salary: £12.51 per hour
  • Working hours: Early, late, and weekend shifts. Sleep-ins are paid per shift.
  • Holidays: 33 days of annual leave, including eight statutory bank holidays.
  • Pay incentives: 10% overtime allowance, 20% Bank Holiday allowance, 50% extra for key dates over Christmas.
  • Training & development: Earn money while earning a fully funded Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
  • Additional benefits: Health, retail, and cash incentives to use as you wish.

Role responsibilities:

Every day presents new opportunities, from supporting someone with their weekly shopping to outdoor adventures. You may assist with personal care, support attendance at events like gigs, help build confidence in using public transport, or teach money management skills. The goal is to support individuals in discovering new interests, achieving goals, and maintaining meaningful relationships.

You will provide high-quality care and support for learning-disabled adults by listening to their needs, assisting with daily tasks such as medication management, cooking, and confidence-building activities. Your shifts will vary to support a healthy work-life balance.

Note: Public transport to our service is limited. A driving license and access to a car, or assistance with transportation, would be beneficial.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Bidford On Avon team!
