Are you looking for an exciting opportunity across west London? If you are passionate about making a real difference through supporting vulnerable young people, we would love to hear from you!

We have Bank Support Staff roles in our supported housing services in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The role builds on customer care, health and safety, flexibility, adaptability and other skills to assist homeless young people who are unable to live independently, by offering them the practical and emotional support they need to regain their independence.

Burton White House is a 24-bed service which is a 7-minute walk from Earl’s Court Station. Beacon House is a 16-bed service for single homeless young people aged 16-25. Both services are conveniently located within walking distance from major transport links across London. Please note that there are no parking facilities available at either service.

Our customers come with a range of support needs, such as mental health issues, care leaver status, probation, ex-offending backgrounds, learning disabilities, and asylum seeking.

The support provided is person-centred, requiring creativity and energy, and is highly rewarding for colleagues as well as transformative for our customers. This role involves working in a dynamic environment where each day presents new challenges and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Both services aim to support young people in improving their independent living skills and reintegrating into the community. We utilize the Recovery Model to empower customers to make decisions about their support, and our person-centred approach helps them identify their strengths and skills to achieve their goals and aspirations. We believe that customers can move beyond their current support needs and reach their full potential by developing new skills and accessing opportunities.

Your role may vary day-to-day, supporting activities such as assisting with immigration applications, helping access support for substance abuse, engaging in activities like watching movies, cooking, or taking walks in the local park.

Customers participate in developing life and independent living skills (including self-esteem, relationships, cooking, and budgeting) and therapeutic activities like art workshops and gardening.

You will support young people in accessing education, training, or employment tailored to their individual circumstances and goals, providing initial advice, volunteering opportunities, and signposting to further education, courses, apprenticeships, and paid work.

Our work involves collaboration with local agencies and support services to promote well-being, mental and physical health, life skills, and employment opportunities.

A key part of your role will be facilitating customers' access to support from other agencies, building relationships with external organizations, and guiding customers through processes to obtain benefits, housing, and education.

You will join a passionate, supportive, and friendly team committed to providing excellent service, using your initiative and creativity to implement innovative ideas.

Evolve Housing + Support is an equal opportunities employer and encourages applications from all community sections, including those with lived experience of homelessness. We prioritize diversity, equality, and inclusion in our recruitment practices.

You must have the right to work in the UK, as Evolve does not sponsor visas.

Please clearly demonstrate in your application how your experience and skills meet the criteria outlined in the job description and person specification.

You will need to work shifts on a pre-planned rolling rota, including mornings (from 7am), evenings (until 10pm), mid-shifts, and weekends, 5 days a week.

In return, we offer:

  • Over 6 weeks holiday per year (increasing with service length)
  • The option to buy or sell additional holiday days
  • Employer contributory pension scheme
  • Medical Cash Back Plan
  • Yulife Employee Assistance & Rewards Programme
