We’re Expanding – Join Mencap as a Support Worker in Banbridge!
Location: Banbridge, Northern Ireland
Organisation: Mencap
Contract Options: Full-time (37.5 hrs) & Part-time (various hours available)
Sleep-in Enhancement: £63.70 per shift

About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you’ll empower people with learning disabilities to live independently and with dignity. You'll support individuals with a wide range of needs and preferences – every day will be different, and your impact will be profound.
You’ll be helping with:
Daily tasks such as personal care, medication, and getting ready for the day
Managing finances and daily living (paying bills, shopping, etc.)
Reducing isolation through support with social activities and community engagement
Using Positive Behaviour Support strategies to enhance well-being
What We’re Looking For:
A genuine passion for making a difference
Caring, patient, and empathetic nature
Great communication and relationship-building skills
Flexibility to work a mix of day shifts, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
Shift Details:
All our services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We prepare rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can plan ahead.
Day Shifts: 07:45 – 22:30
Sleep-ins: 22:30 – 07:45 (Flat rate payment of £63.70)
Additional Information:
All roles are subject to Access NI enhanced checks, NISCC registration, and reference checks
Please Note: While Mencap is a licensed sponsor, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the current Skilled Worker visa salary threshold set by the Home Office
