Guide Dogs is seeking a Support Worker and Driver to assist a visually impaired employee. This part-time role requires a clean driving licence, IT skills and excellent communication abilities. Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant who has a full, clean driving licence, good administration and IT skills and excellent communication, planning and organisational skills is required to support a visually impaired member of staff to fulfil their role at Guide Dogs.
SALARY: £23,000 FTE / Actual Annual Salary £13,800 (based on 21 hours per week) + Excellent Benefits

LOCATION: You must be within a commutable distance of Brighton & Hove and be comfortable driving long distances. This role requires travel within the South region and occasionally to other parts of the UK

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant who has a full, clean driving licence, good administration and IT skills and excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
Working as the Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant you will support a visually impaired employee, helping them perform their duties effectively through a mix of remote and in-person support. In-person support could involve attending meetings to take notes and scribe information, tasks such as provided sighted guidance to navigate unfamiliar environments, helping with access to systems on a laptop, or describing the layout of rooms at events.
As the Support Worker and Driver / Employee Access Assistant your role will involve reading data and inputting information into internal systems, as well as using Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI (Microsoft Fabric). You will manage an Outlook calendar, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate and confidential records.
Travel is a key part of this role, including driving the employee to various sites and providing in-person support during meetings and sessions by describing visual information as it arises.
