What you will be doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with Learning Disability conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recovery pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life. Your day-to-day activities will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, with shifts of 7am-2.30pm and 2.30pm-10pm, including weekends on a rota basis. Extra hours can be discussed if required.

Where you will be working:

78 Park Road is part of our learning disability and autism division, supporting individuals who may have severe learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours which, due to their diagnosis, may be seen as challenging. Residents may also have profound and multiple communication difficulties, sensory impairments, and physical health problems.
