Job summary

Swanton Care and Community in Norwich is hiring a Support Worker to empower the people we support to achieve their goals. The role involves practical assistance and emotional support, respecting individuality and enabling choices in line with individual support plans.

You will work across days, evenings, nights and weekends, contributing to health and well-being, activities, and the completion of records. DBS and references are required, with a supportive team and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Full reference check and enhanced DBS required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing shifts.
• Commitment to person-centred support and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• To provide support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
• Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
• Support Nurses with the delivery of complex health support
• To facilitate social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, supported employment, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
• As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.

About The Role

We are seekingSupport Workers to join our team in Norwich.

Position: Support Worker

Location: Norwich

Hours: 36 hours per week

Shifts: Days,Evenings, nights, weekends

Whilst fully embracing the company ethos support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live.Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
