Job summary

Swanton Care & Community Ltd is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for the Swanton Community Services Team in the UK. You will support people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health to lead meaningful lives within their community.

Roles are flexible with guaranteed hours, excellent training, and benefits including pension, healthcare support, and opportunities for career development. DBS checks and eligibility verification are required.

Qualifications

  • No previous experience or qualifications are required.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK must be provided.
  • Enhanced DBS check is required.
  • Advanced training is provided by the exclusive Training Academy.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage independence and support service users to achieve personal goals.
  • Provide safety and wellbeing support to people relying on the services.
  • Communicate with service users using their preferred methods.
  • Monitor changes in health or circumstances and report to management.
  • Help service users engage with the local community and activities.

You'll need…
  • Willingness to work towards Level 2 Diploma or above in Health & Social Care
  • Good understanding of working with individuals with a learning disability and autism
  • Commitment to providing quality care and support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, compassion and a motivational attitude at all times
  • A responsible, dedicated and flexible approach to work
  • Competent IT knowledge and computer skills
