Job Overview

We put care into CAREr! Our team at Brookstreet Social Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support across various services in the Northeast. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

Salary: Dependent on location and service.

Our services support Adults and children from diverse backgrounds, including:

  • Homelessness
  • Drug and alcohol abuse
  • Education
  • Learning difficulties
  • Autism
Responsibilities
  1. Care and Support:
    • Provide person-centred care, meeting physical, emotional, and social needs.
    • Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meals, and leisure.
  2. Safeguarding and Safety:
    • Follow safeguarding policies to protect service users.
  3. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Keep accurate records, care plans, incident reports, and logs.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and agencies.
  4. Professional Development:
    • Engage in ongoing training and stay updated on best practices.
    • Specialised training available through internal teams.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • DBS on the update service for Adults and/or Children.
  • Experience in residential or respite care.
  • Understanding of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Driving licence.
