Swanton Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for a residential home in Fenham, Newcastle. You will deliver practical and emotional support to individuals, helping them live as independently as possible while respecting personal choices and encouraging engagement in community activities.

The role requires adaptability, reliability and teamwork, with shifts including evenings, nights and weekends across a 40-hour week. A DBS check and clear references are expected.

About The Role

We are seeking Support Workers to join our team in Fenham, Newcastle

Whilst fully embracing the company ethos support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live. Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shifts: Evenings, nights, weekends

The Role

• To provide support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
• Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
• To facilitate social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, supported employment, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
• General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.
• As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.
