About The Role

We are looking for Support Worker/Carers who care about making every moment matter for the people we support in our residential service.

Position: Support Worker/Carer

Location:Hull (HU7 postcode)

Hours:Full-Time & Part-Time hours available.

Shifts cover:2 week repeating rota, working every other weekend.

WE DO NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP.

About you

Are you enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to supporting people in a way which respects their dignity?

You will need to be adaptable, flexible, with excellent communication skills and able to work as part of our team. Ideally you will have:

  • Previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Hold or be willing to work towards your NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.

The Role

  • To provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
  • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
  • Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
  • General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.
  • As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.

About The Service

We can support up to 11 adults with a range of support needs including learning disabilities, autism and other complex care needs. We empower each person to live life the way they choose to. The purpose-built residential accommodation is decorated and furnished to support individual preferences. The many communal spaces throughout the building include TV lounges, a life skills kitchens, a sensory room, an activity room and a fully adapted bathroom.
