Support Worker – Adult Enablement Unit, Bedford

This role involves providing practical and emotional support to adults with mental health issues and learning disabilities, helping them live more independently. We are expanding and seeking female workers to work with female clients within a dedicated team.

Ideal candidates are sociable, understanding, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills, with values aligned to ours. Essential qualities include caring, compassionate, competent, mindful of equality and diversity, innovative, and professional.

We require you to be flexible, adaptable, and experienced in working with adults with complex mental health and learning disabilities.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting clients to access and engage in their local community
  • Accompanying clients to appointments, walks, and activity programs
  • Assisting with budgeting and enhancing living skills
  • Providing evening meals from a set menu
  • Participating in crisis and care planning
