About The Role

    We are looking for part time Support Worker/Carers within our domically service in Burnley.

    Position: Part-time Support Worker (Supported Living)

    Location:Blackburn

    Hours: PartTime, 16 hours per week.

    WEDO NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP.

    Personal care worker for women required. This post is only available to female applicants as permitted under the Equality Act 2010.

    The position involves lone working. You would need to be able to work on a rota which includes shift work and weekends. You would also be required to work sleep in shifts.

    The Role

    • The main focus of the support is to enable the people we support to live a full and happy life, to run their own home and to take part in a range of activities in the community.
    • Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
    • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
    • Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
    • General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.
    • As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.
