Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEN Residential Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider in Ribchester. In this role, you will support young individuals with complex needs, helping them develop independence and social skills within a nurturing environment.

This day position is 30 hours a week across two 15-hour shifts, requiring patience, empathy and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Children and Families or equivalent.
• Current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support to young people with complex needs, including those exhibiting challenging behaviours
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities
• Implement and follow individualised care plans to meet each young person’s specific needs
• Ensure the safety and well-being of young people at all times
• Support young people’s engagement with education and personal development programs

In this role, you will support young individuals facing challenges such as anger management, absconding, and criminal behaviours, helping them develop independence and social skills within a nurturing environment.

This a day position working 30 hours a week, 2 x 15-hour shifts a week

The SEN Residential Support Worker will play a vital part in delivering high-quality, tailored care in a safe residential setting, ensuring each young person’s unique needs are met with patience and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support to young people with complex needs, including those exhibiting challenging behaviours
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities
• Implement and follow individualised care plans to meet each young person’s specific needs
• Ensure the safety and well-being of young people at all times
• Support young people’s engagement with education and personal development programs
