Job summary

Pin Point Health & Social Care is recruiting a Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex care needs in a Danby supported living setting. You will provide person-centred care, support independence, assist with daily tasks and enable community participation.

The role requires a caring, patient approach, strong communication, and a driving licence with own vehicle. Full shifts and ongoing recruitment team support are included.

Qualifications

  • 12 months' experience in health and social care or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or physical disabilities.
  • Caring, patient and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support in line with individual care plans.
  • Encourage independence and promote dignity, choice and respect.
  • Support individuals with personal care where required.
  • Assist with daily living activities, meal preparation and household tasks.
  • Help people access the community, appointments, education and leisure activities.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with the people supported.
  • Maintain accurate records and report any concerns appropriately.
  • Work as part of a dedicated team to deliver outstanding care.

Location: Danby - Supported Living Community

Pay: £13.20 - £26.40 + Sleep-in Allowance + Bank Holiday Enhancements

Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle are essential due to the location of the service.

We're recruiting experienced Support Workers to join a welcoming supported living community in Danby, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and physical disabilities. The Role
  • Providing person-centred support in line with individual care plans.
  • Encouraging independence while promoting dignity, choice and respect.
  • Supporting individuals with personal care where required.
  • Assisting with daily living activities, including meal preparation and household tasks.
  • Supporting people to access the community, appointments, education and leisure activities.
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with the people you support.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns appropriately.
  • Working as part of a dedicated team to deliver outstanding care.
What We're Looking For
  • A minimum of 12 months' experience working within a relevant health and social care setting.
  • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or physical disabilities.
  • A caring, patient and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
