Join Bradfield House in Worthing, West Sussex as a Support Worker and provide care for people with severe learning disabilities, Autism, and behaviors that may be seen as challenging. You will support and encourage them to lead full and valued lives, enabling more independence.
You’ll be great with people – a real ‘people person’ – able to communicate effectively, explaining yourself clearly in the right tone to suit the situation, and understanding others' behaviors and expressions. Having a good sense of humor, resilience, and a willingness to assist residents with personal hygiene are also important.
What you will be doing
You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to care for individuals with learning disabilities and mental health conditions. Whether you have experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker, you will use your knowledge and skills to help support people lead fulfilling lives.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will use your excellent communication skills and experience in Learning Disabilities & Autism to support individuals through their care pathway. The environment can be challenging at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are essential. It is highly rewarding to see the progress of those you support, such as achieving new skills.
You’ll work 35 hours per week, with shifts of 7am-2.30pm and 2pm-9.30pm, including weekends on a rota basis.

Bradfield House is part of our Learning Disability and Autism division, providing a specialist residential service for men and women with learning disabilities, autism, and sensory and communication impairments. The home features two lounges, ten spacious en-suite bedrooms, and two enclosed gardens. It is located in Worthing’s conservation area, close to the sea front, with easy access to the train station and local amenities.
In this role you will:
Eligibility: You must live in the UK and have the Right to Work in the UK full time. 20-hour Student and Skilled Worker Visas cannot be accepted.
