Job summary

Autism Initiatives in Wirral is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team on a part-time 32-hour contract. You will help individuals with autism to lead active, independent lives through community activities and home support.

We offer extensive training, company-paid enhanced DBS, progression opportunities, a development programme, and generous holiday entitlement. No sponsorship is required for this role.

• Background or understanding of supporting autistic people preferred; comprehensive training provided.

• Engage clients in community activities such as swimming, walking groups or cinema trips.

Who we are looking for:

As a Support Worker, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and will enjoy joining a dynamic team that encourages people with autism to enjoy an active lifestyle. Community activities could include swimming, accessing walking groups or trips to the cinema. You will also promote health and well-being and support individuals to maintain their home. The support we deliver is flexible and unique to each individual, building on their strengths and driven by their goals.

We are looking for people who share and demonstrate our values. You may have a background or understanding of supporting autistic people, but if not don’t worry, we have great training and a friendly team to support you every step of the way.
