Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
We’re looking for committed support workers to join our dedicated team in Wick to support 2 gentlemen in one of our services in Wick. We can also offer Bank/Casual roles.
The gentlemen we support have different support needs and have tailored care and support plans. They also have many interests and hobbies including swimming, music, eating out, cooking, arts and crafts. One of the gentlemen also has an allotment. They are outgoing and fun.
You should have a calm, supportive approach and be highly motivated to support and develop a range of life skills including cooking, cleaning, managing finances, scheduling and attending appointments, support with personal hygiene, shopping, and cooking. You will have a positive and flexible outlook to your work with good communication skills. Experience with mental health and/or learning disabilities would be an advantage. We are seeking applicants who have availability to work long shifts, weekends, and sleepovers.
