A community service provider in White Cross seeks dedicated support workers to assist service users with daily living activities. 1. Carry out duties as required under the direction of the Manager/Shift Leader. 2. To be involved in meeting each service user's individual needs on a daily basis. This is to include transporting service users to appointments and other engagements as required by driving the Company vehicles if the worker has a driving licence. 3. To support service user's individual priority needs, completing daily timetables as directed. 4. To facilitate the involvement of service user's in daily household tasks, i.e. cleaning, personal laundry, shopping and preparing meals, etc. 5. Assist in providing basic care where people have a physical illness. 6. You will be expected to carry out personal care as part of the role depending on the client needs. 7. To report any client general issues/concerns to the Manager. 8. To participate in any service user's leisure pursuits at home and within the community. 9. To act as Key-Worker (where appropriate) for identified service user(s) as designated by the Manager 10. To advocate on behalf of service users where appropriate. 11. To work flexible hours, to meet individual needs. 12. Participate in the support planning process as directed. 13. To undertake any other additional duties as reasonably required by the Company. General Responsibilities: 1. To work in accordance with the Organisational and local Policies and Procedures. 2. Participate in maintaining the internal/external upkeep of the house. 3. Communicate relevant information clearly via appropriate channels. 4. Report any potential hazards/risks to the Manager in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations. 5. Undertake staff training as appropriate. 6. To undertake training in the Safe handling of Medication and participate in the administration of medication for service users. 7. Participate in Staff Appraisal Scheme. 8. Maintain all aspects of confidentiality with the home at all times.
