About the Role

Vision for Education are working alongside a friendly and well-established school in North Tyneside to recruit for a Support Worker to work with their students who have behavioural issues. This could be a full time supply role, starting immediately for the right candidate. Looking for September work? Start the clearance process now to give yourself the best chance of landing a role in time for the new academic year.

As a Support Worker you will need to have strong knowledge of the challenges young people face, excellent communication skills and not be afraid to get stuck in to a vibrant classroom. You will be working alongside the teacher to manage behaviour, enrich young people through various educational methods, and build strong and lasting relationships with amazing young people.

If you have previous experience with SEND or in Care Work then this role would be ideal for you. All our Supoort Worker candidates will be required to have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Requirements

The desired Support Worker will have;

  • Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • A passion for the progress of all SEND pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Patience and understanding of all young people with additional needs.
