Job description

On behalf of our client, Yorkshire Community Healthcare is seeking a dedicated 1-1 support worker to assist our service users within the community. Our client is a young gentleman with learning disabilities who requires round-the-clock support. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of experience in healthcare or support services.

Shift Schedule:

- 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM

- 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM (Sleeper Shift)

- 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care in the client's home, assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming.

- Monitor the client's health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.

- Offer emotional support and companionship to the client and their family.

- Accompany the client to appointments as needed.

- Maintain a clean and safe living space for the client, ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and stored properly.

- Participate in team meetings and other healthcare-related activities as required.

- Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations, particularly regarding client confidentiality and data protection.

- Assist with meal preparation and cooking.

- Foster a positive and engaging environment through companionship and social interaction.

- Build a strong, trusting relationship with the client, helping them achieve their personal goals.

- Provide clinical interventions when necessary.

- Collaborate effectively within a team setting.

- Assist with household duties as required.
