Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a reputable Charity based in Manchester on a 3-month contract.

This will be a full-time position with a salary of £18.00 per hour umbrella.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with refugees and asylum seekers, supporting them with supported living and advising on welfare and benefits.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  1. Supporting clients in supported accommodation after receiving permanent leave to remain
  2. Assessing and registering new tenants into our service
  3. Assisting clients with Housing Benefit, Universal Credit, and welfare entitlements
  4. Developing support plans and risk assessments tailored to individual needs
  5. Maintaining detailed records using CRM and internal systems
  6. Teaching life skills and promoting steps toward employment or training
  7. Liaising with GPs, local authorities, housing services, and other agencies

Experience required:

  • Experience working with homeless clients or asylum seekers
  • Understanding of Housing Benefit, Universal Credit, and tenancy law

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
