Support Worker

We are currently recruiting for support workers for an elderly residential home based in Lancing which supports residents 18+ with learning disabilities.

Your role will be to ensure the residents are able to live as independent a life as possible by assisting with their everyday lives when needed.

You will need to be flexible with shifts.

Shift patterns are:

• 07:00 - 15:00
• 08:00 - 15:00
• 15:00 - 22:00
• 16:00 - 21:00
• 21:45 - 07:45

Job Requirements:

• Experience working with learning disabilities
• DBS on update service (Desirable)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Good at problem-solving and ability to make quick decisions

Key Responsibilities:

• Encourage new skill development
• Attending appointments
• Enabling independence by assisting with day-to-day tasks
• Measure and record patients' vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
