Support Worker – Telford (TF4)

Location: Telford, TF4 (Just a 6min Walk from Holy Trinity Church, Old Vicarage Road)
Pay Rate: £12.31 per hour
Hours: Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available

Are you confident, energetic, and passionate about helping others live independently? We’re looking for Support Workers to join our team in Telford, supporting 14 individuals who live in their own apartments within a vibrant and inclusive supported living setting.

About the People You’ll Be Supporting

The people we support range in age from 18 to mid-50s and have a variety of needs including learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions. They are largely independent and do not currently require personal care or moving and handling support.

Support is focused on prompting and encouragement, helping individuals maintain their independence and enjoy their day-to-day lives.

  • Shopping and meals out
  • Cinema trips and bingo nights
  • Days out to the seaside, theme parks, and the zoo
  • Walking and going to the gym
  • Parties and spending time with family and friends

With such a wide range of interests, every day is different – and full of opportunities to make a difference.

Your Role

You’ll be supporting individuals with:

  • Meal planning and cooking
  • Maintaining their tenancy
  • Cleaning, laundry, and household tasks
  • Budgeting and managing finances
  • Shopping and attending appointments
  • Online safety and digital support
  • Building and maintaining relationships
Shift Patterns
  • Early shifts: 7:30am – 3pm
  • Late shifts: 3pm - 10:30pm
  • Alternate weekends required
  • No sleep-in shifts required

Rotas are planned in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.

We’re seeking Support Workers who are:

  • Confident and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude
  • Empathetic and patient, with a person-centred approach
  • Team players, who also feel confident working independently
  • Flexible and proactive, ready to support a variety of needs
  • Non-drivers welcome – no mobility vehicles currently in use

Experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided.
