About this client: Billie is a gregarious, funny, and down-to-earth 35-year-old woman living independently in Caterham. She has a positive outlook on life and is working towards securing an employed role. Billie enjoys activities such as trips to theme parks, spending time with family and friends, browsing charity shops, enjoying Costa coffee, or spending days in London. She sustained a brain injury in early childhood, resulting in a mild learning disability and epilepsy (controlled via medication). Billie loves music, with Green Day being a favorite band, and enjoys concerts and cooking. It would be beneficial if her Support Worker / PA shares similar interests. Billie is active, outgoing, and enjoys conversation, companionship, and exploring new interests.

Overview of role: A typical Tuesday involves planning for the week ahead and assisting Billie with life admin duties. Wednesdays are dedicated to working on goals set by her OT and MDT, and attending the job hub. Thursdays are mostly for trips and activities. Billie appreciates her Support Worker / PA being proactive and researching local community events. The role involves prompting and supporting Billie with daily activities, liaising with her case management and therapy team. Her needs are subtle, requiring experience supporting adults to live independently and strong safeguarding knowledge. Monthly supervision with her OT and regular MDT meetings during working hours are expected. Flexibility around working hours may be necessary depending on activities.

You should be intuitive, patient, an excellent role model, and knowledgeable about safeguarding. Confidence with basic technology is essential, as care notes are logged via an app. Billie is a smoker but does not smoke indoors. You must be a driver with your own car.

Details: Brain Injury Support Worker / PA in Caterham, CR3. Part-time position offering £19.00 gross per hour. The role requires supporting adults with neurological conditions, brain injury, or learning disabilities to live independently. You should have at least 2 years of relevant experience, including safeguarding. Epilepsy/seizure management experience is desirable; training will be provided, including emergency medication administration. Start date: ASAP. Hours: 16 hours per week, days and times to be mutually agreed. You will need to use your own car for work, with mileage and insurance paid. This position is open to female applicants only.
