Archer Resourcing have a great opportunity for an experienced Support Worker to join the Children with Disabilities Team in Sunderland.

Working in the Children with Disabilities Team, you will be undertaking assessments with the purpose of meeting the needs of children and young people, who have a permanent disability. The successful candidate will support families, to ensure that all children and young people are able to live positive and fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting children to engage in appropriate activities that enable their families to have a break from their caring role
• Providing behavioural support to parents and carers of children who have a diagnosis of a learning disability
• Promoting social opportunities that help to develop a child’s independence
• Ensuring that all children are safeguarded

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS – on the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today

• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle is advantageous
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
