Overview

Support Worker Stoke-on-Trent (ST11) — £12.40 per hour + travel allowance | 39 hours per week | Two-week rolling rota

(7am–8pm | three long days per week | every other weekend off)

We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join a residential service for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and physical disabilities in Stoke-on-Trent.

As a Support Worker, you will be making a real difference. Some days that means helping people with day-to-day living skills. Other days it could be joining in with activities such as karaoke, arts and crafts, pub lunches or even cheering at a football match. It is about the small steps, the big smiles, and the moments that matter.

What you will be doing

  • Using hoists and manual handling safely to support wheelchair users
  • Building positive relationships with service users, families, and colleagues
What we are looking for
  • Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Carer, or Healthcare Assistant (essential)
  • Confidence supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviour
  • Flexibility and reliability to work a rolling rota including weekends
  • A caring, patient nature with a good sense of humour
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to the service location and community access needs
