This an exciting opportunity for caring, compassionate and talented support workers in Stockport, supporting 6 people with learning disabilities. This is a great opening to make a real difference to the lives of others and gain great development. The people supported here enjoying going out in the community, particularly going walking, swimming, shopping, to the cinema and to the pub.

With experience working in a health or social care setting, you will have an upbeat positive manner, as well as having a genuine passion for supporting people to become a part of their local and wider community.

You will also have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times.

We can consider part or full time hours. There are a mixture of shifts, which include 7.30am-4pm, 2pm-830pm, 730am-830pm and 830pm-730am. A driving license would be preferred.

We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
