Job Title: Support Worker

Location: NE34

Hours: 32 hours a week, including long days, sleep-ins, and weekend work

Salary: £12.31 per hour

Driving Requirement: Full UK Driving License required

Are you passionate about making a difference in someone’s life?

We’re looking for compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our team in NE34. This role involves providing person-centered support for three individuals, Mark, Andrew, and Lorraine, each with unique interests and needs.

About the Role:

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care, from prompting to full support
  • Administering medication according to care plans
  • Encouraging participation in activities such as sports, cinema trips, parks, and social outings
  • Supporting hobbies and personal goals
  • Assisting with meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, and laundry
Individual Profiles:

Mark: Enjoys sports, quieter environments, and technology like iPads. He is reserved initially but warms up with trusted staff.

Andrew: Outgoing and sociable, passionate about amateur boxing, with a large circle of friends.

Lorraine: Loves swimming, dining out, and sensory activities; has a sensory room in her bungalow.

Shift Patterns:

Long days and sleep-in shifts, typically 10am-10pm, including sleep-ins and varying daytime shifts. Flexibility and weekend availability are essential.

  • Adaptability to both quiet and social environments
  • Full UK Driving License (essential)
