The Role

This is a lovely part-time role available for a caring, funny and down to earth support worker in the Sheffield area.

There are 2 x part-time posts available, 12hrs each. You would be expected to work flexibly over 3-4 days which would include alternate Sundays but there are no Saturday shifts. The hours of work each day would fit around the other support worker in the package and between you ensure that one of you was on shift each day and cover for each other in times of sickness or holidays

About the Client & Your Responsibilities

Our client is a gentleman who has memory problems and epilepsy resulting from a brain injury. Although he has retained his sense of humour and love for comedy, sitcoms, music and football, he needs support with prompts and reminders with everyday tasks.

This role would include supporting with attending appointments and shopping trips, general help around the home and helping our client to keep his diary up to date so he has all information he needs to remind him of things. You will also help to order and organise his medication so you need to be proactive and have a sense of maturity.

No personal care is involved in this role. Drivers are not essential, however if you do drive, our client has a motability vehicle that you will use.
