Casual Support Worker, Saxmundham Community Hub

Rate of pay: £12.60 per hour (Real Living Wage!)

With enhancements for Sundays and Bank Holidays up to 20% and sleep-ins at £65.

Casual posts available mainly based in our Saxmundham Community Hub, but willingness to work in our Supported Living service is also required. (this can include morning, evening, daytime, weekend, sleep ins, and waking nights)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Support Worker who will role model our key values and ensure the service continues to run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be part of the key workforce on the front line ensuring our customers have every opportunity to lead the life they choose.

Leading Lives provides social care support for people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs in the home and in the community across Suffolk and neighbouring counties. We are a not-for-profit social enterprise, owned by our employees. Any surplus we make is reinvested back into services for our customers or into the local community.

As Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support people to live independently and complete day-to-day activities
  • Actively advocating for people we support and their families
  • Provide intimate personal care with dignity, according to individual needs
  • Effective communication and building rapport
  • Safe administering of medication

Your induction

Leading Lives runs a 3-week induction programme: You will be met on your first day by your buddy and be supported through this.

Start date will be confirmed by the recruitment team further to a satisfactory enhanced DBS and safer recruitment checks.
